An amazing vintage Moroccan Beni Ourain rug handwoven with traditional black diamond pattern on a creamy background. The thick nature of the wool used in the making of this elegant rug makes it super soft under foot.
This luxurious rug blends beautifully in any contemporary interior. It gained in popularity in the west with mid-century modern designers such as - Le Corbusier- who combined the thick piled Rugs with sleekly designed furniture.
Most ancient beni Ourain designs are woven with natural black or dark brown wool into the cream base.
